Conquering cancer will require better treatments and prevention strategies based on sound scientific research, and research requires money. Lots of it.

In these difficult economic times, when government funding for cancer research is harder to come by, the OSUCCC – James had to find other ways to support the vision of creating a cancer-free world.

Pelotonia is an annual grassroots bicycle tour that was established to raise money for cancer research at the OSUCCC – James. Thanks to the generous underwriters of the event, every dollar raised by riders since Pelotonia began goes to help our 293 researchers translate scientific discoveries to innovative patient care and prevention strategies that contribute to Pelotonia's single goal of ending cancer.

Pelotonia dollars support four key areas: the Pelotonia Fellowship Program, Idea Grants, Equipment and Recruitment.

Since 2009, Pelotonia has raised more than $184 million for cancer research at the OSUCCC – James.
