Team Buckeye Rides for Life is a program intended to build connections in the fight against cancer. The program serves as a partnership between Team Buckeye Riders and cancer survivors. Riders are matched with survivors who have received some form of treatment by The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
Formerly known as the “I Ride for You” program, Team Buckeye Rides for Life seeks to facilitate continued connection between patients and survivors from The James with the broader Team Buckeye community. As we celebrate 10 years of Pelotonia, we are looking to build stronger relationships within the cancer community and honor the legacy of survivors, riders, and those within Buckeye Nation who have committed their lives to ending cancer.
Team Buckeye Rides for Life requires no financial obligation of the survivor. Once paired with a rider, survivors are encouraged to tell their family and friends about their Team Buckeye rider in order to help that individual reach their Pelotonia fundraising goal. We ask that all gifts made in support of a rider, in honor of a survivor, are tagged with the phrasing “#TeamBuckeyeRidesForLife” or “#TBRFL” in the acknowledgment line of the gift.
