Legacy 2009

Message from Stefanie and Chris

This has been an amazing year of support for our family and for the Spielman funds. We are truly blessed to have so many friends throughout the central Ohio community and the entire Buckeye Nation. Thank you so much for your well-wishes and prayers – they mean a great deal to our family.

We have some very exciting news to share with you about our funds. With your support, the funds have raised more than $6.5 million since 1999! We are so thankful and impressed with how you have embraced our mission to help fight and end breast cancer. As you may know, our original goal was $100,000 and we never dreamed of reaching this level. It is because of your generous showing of support that we continue to make important strides in research and patient care here at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

This past fiscal year, our Community Partners organized more than 100 events and donated more than $584,944 to the Spielman funds. These fundraisers are organized and supported by people and companies in the community who generously give their time and efforts to planning successful events or initiatives. These fundraisers include concerts, golf outings, skating shows, K-12 schools and university fundraisers, promotions in grocery stores, salon and spa customers, and the list goes on. We are proud to say that all money raised through these initiatives goes directly to support research and patient care that is helping to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and survivors. So thank you to all of our Community Partners for supporting our mission.

We hope you enjoy the rest of autumn, football season and the upcoming holidays.

With grateful hearts,
Stefanie & Chris
