Urgent care for established cancer patients
Located on the fifth floor of The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the Immediate Care Center can treat you if you are an established cancer patient and require evaluation by a provider for urgent and non-urgent needs. The clinic also provides additional related supportive care.
You can go to the Immediate Care Center (ICC) if you are an existing cancer patient and experience medical conditions that need care while undergoing diagnosis or treatment. An appointment is required to be seen and you must be in stable condition.
A multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses and other health professionals staff the ICC.
Services available at the Immediate Care Center include:
- Medical exams
- Diagnostic testing (CT scan, X-ray, Ultrasound)
- Blood tests and laboratory testing
- Intravenous (IV) infusions
- Blood transfusions
- Intravenous (IV) antibiotic treatments
- Acute pain management
- Wound care
