Radiation Oncology

Radiation oncology, which is located on the first floor of the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, provides a variety of treatments if you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Experts at the OSUCCC – James will work together to create a comprehensive, individualized approach to your radiation treatment.

The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center is home to one of the region’s best radiation oncology programs. Using the latest radiation treatment technologies, the SSCBC will assign a specialist who is dedicated to your individual care throughout your radiation treatment journey.

A dosimetrist and medical physicist will work collaboratively with your clinical team to ensure treatments are specific to you. This allows precise treatments within millimeters, which helps preserve healthy tissue surrounding the treatment area.

Our radiation therapists are specially trained to perform CT simulations and a broad array of radiation treatments. The team of advanced practice providers, nurses and patient care associates are trained to provide for your specific breast cancer care needs.
