Surgical Oncology

If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, you may initially see a surgical oncologist. Surgical oncologists at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center specialize in breast cancer. Located on the third floor, our center has met the stringent requirements to be certified by the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). 

The James Surgical Oncology team provides personalized breast cancer care for you. Your team may consist of experts from fields including medical oncology, reconstructive surgery, radiation oncology, breast imaging, pathology and pharmacy.

Our multidisciplinary team has developed and provides care using an enhanced surgical recovery approach.  This approach uses cutting-edge methods to provide surgical and nursing care, resulting in shorter hospital stay, better pain management, less complications after surgery and shorter recovery after surgery.
