Using Music (Better!) to Deal with Stress
Thursday, November 1
6:30 – 8 p.m.
Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center
In this workshop, participants will be provided with basic information about stress and introduced to therapeutic music exercises designed to strengthen healthy stress management skills.
Saturday, November 17
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park
Join other caregivers for a retreat focused on rejuvenation. Caregivers will receive resources for loved ones and learn how to reduce stress through self-care and relaxation. Guest presenter, caregiver and author will share how she coped with difficult times by writing. Participants will have the opportunity to explore art and writing as helpful coping tools.
Nutrition and Cancer: Tips for Caregivers (LIVE STREAM)

6 – 7:30 p.m.
Join a dietitian from The James for a live stream presentation to learn how to cook healthy meals for your loved one. Topics will include meal planning, big-batch cooking and freezing meals, along with other practical meal tips.

JamesCare Support Groups
JamesCare Support Groups provide a safe and supportive environment to share personal experiences and benefit from connecting with others who have similar health concerns. Groups are open to cancer survivors and their caregivers and are available before, during and after treatment.
These drop-in groups are facilitated by licensed healthcare professionals from the OSUCCC – James and Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center. Some groups may include occasional guest speakers and presentations.
