Physical activity has been associated with better health outcomes for many conditions, including reducing the risk of some cancers. Despite this increasing evidence, the National Cancer Institute reports that more than 50 percent of Americans are not engaging in physical activities.
Exercise programs at the OSUCCC – James are designed to increase survivors’ understanding and use of physical activity to reduce negative effects of cancer and its treatments, including reducing risk of cancer reccurrence. JamesCare for Life Exercise programs will help you take an active and informed role in cancer prevention.
Programs are led by certified instructors or physical therapists and geared to all fitness levels.
