Alison Walker, MD, MPH, is a member of the Leukemia Research Program at the OSUCCC – James, where her research focuses on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes.

She is most interested in the development of lower intensity novel therapies for patients that maximize efficacy and minimize toxicity. More recently, she has focused on the use of small molecule inhibitors in patients with AML with specific cytogenetic or molecular abnormalities that are known to be recurrent in this disease.

Dr. Walker has co-authored many articles in well-respected publications, including Leukemia & Lymphoma, Blood and Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

She has also shared her research in numerous presentations to organizations such as the Cancer and Leukemia Group B, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
