Amanda Simcox, PhD, is a member of the Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics Program at the OSUCCC – James, where she studies epidermal growth factor receptor signaling.

In particular, Dr. Simcox seeks to decipher the gene regulatory network in a just-hatched larva that grows from about 30 cells to about 150 cells in two days.

One of her recent studies reveals the power of time-series synexpression analysis to detail Drosophila embryonic progenitor lines and pinpoint stem/progenitor cell regulators.

Dr. Simcox has co-authored numerous articles in well-respected publications, including Cell Reports, Genome Research, Methods in Molecular Biology and Genetics.
