Daniel Gallego Perez, PhD
College of Medicine
Dr. Gallego Perez' lab’s research is focused on developing novel micro/nanoscale systems for cancer research and therapeutics. Some of the ongoing projects in the lab include novel nanodevices to interrogate tumor explants at the single cell level, understanding singe-cell interactions between tumor cells and myeloid stromal cells within the tumor niche, novel establishing cell-based therapies against cancer by re-engineering/taming highly aggressive/invasive cancer cells, and devising novel tools to deploy advanced and more targeted gene therapies.
