Dr. Liebner is currently focused on (1) the development of Clinical Informatics tools that can be used to capture relevant cancer outcomes measures from the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as well as (2) leveraging computational tools (e.g., neural networks) to improve prognostic and predictive models in sarcoma and other solid tumors. In particular, he is interested in integrating data from patient-reported outcomes (PRO), digital histopathology, radiomics and next-generation sequencing in order to help model disease progression, response to therapy and the development of chemotherapy resistance.
