Dean Lillard, PhD, is a member of the OSUCCC – James Cancer Control Program, where he researches health economics, international comparisons of economic behaviors and economics of schooling.His work focuses on the economics of cigarette marketing and consumption, and the relationship between advertising of alcohol and drinking behavior. Among his other research activities, he studies the role that information and education play in economic behaviors such as smoking, production of health and earnings. Throughout his multi-decade career, Dr. Lillard has co-authored articles appearing in such prestigious publications as American Journal of Epidemiology, Journal of Health Economics and International Journal of Public Health. He also regularly presents his research around the globe at major health events, including the World Congress on Health Economics of the International Health Economics Association, Conference of the American Society of Health Economists and International Conference of Panel Data Users.
