Dr. Guttridge's laboratory studies the NF-kB family of transcription factors and the role they play in cell growth and differentiation. The long-term goal is not only to better dissect the function and mechanisms by which NF-kB regulates muscle differentiation and turnover associated with muscle disorders, but also to translate this information into a better understanding of the role of NF-kB in tumor development.
