Leukemia Research

Gang Huang, PhD, is a member of the Leukemia Research Program at the OSUCCC – James and is based at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. His work focuses on genetic and epigenetic regulations of normal blood-cell development and leukemia.

One of his research projects first revealed that RUNX1/CBF beta (a hetero-dimer transcription factor), mixed-lineage leukemia and SETD2 proteins create a regulatory network important for normal blood development and tumor suppression in leukemia.

Dr. Huang has co-authored numerous articles in well-respected publications, including Nature Genetics, Cancer Discovery, Cell Reports, Blood and Molecular Cell.
