Jianqiang Wu, MD, is a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James and is based at Cincinnati Children's Hospital at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
His research focuses on transcription factors and microRNAs in neurofibromatosis type 1-related plexiform initiation and/or maintenance. He is also interested in preclinical therapeutic trials on neurofibroma and cancer stem cells in neurofibroma.
One of his recent studies indicates that given the efficacy of Ro5-3335 pharmacological inhibitor in delaying growth of plexiform neurofibroma growth, combination therapies targeting MEK and Runx could be helpful.
Dr. Wu has co-authored more than 30 articles in well-known publications, including Cancer Cell, Cell Stem Cell, New England Journal of Medicine, Oncogene, Neuro-Oncology, Cell Reports, Pediatric Blood & Cancer, Journal of Clinical Investigation and Cancer Research.
