Dr. Bridges works at the intersection of outcomes research and health economics, with a special emphasis on measuring the priorities and preferences of patients and other stakeholders. He has studied preferences as they pertain to both cancer treatment and cancer prevention. In cancer treatment he has made advances in measuring preferences in lung cancer and AML. Dr. Bridges has also studied strategies for comprehensive treatment programs in liver cancer and breast cancer. He has worked in cancer prevention – studying both the overuse and underuse of cancer screening. He leads the establishment of international standards for the measurement of preferences.
