Dr. Zhang’s research includes the development of medical imaging methodologies for effective cancer therapies and improved medical drug development; evaluation of low dose PET and PET imaging acceleration for clinical oncologic PET/CT without compromising qualitative and quantitative image quality; optimizing the overlap of PET acquisition in axial for less motion artifacts, more patient comfort, and improved efficiency in patient throughput; development of methodologies for neuromodulations utilizing PET/CT in the management and response monitoring of DBS in patients with AD; and digital PET/CT system development and investigation to characterize, optimize, and validate the impact of this technology leap on clinical PET/CT imaging and translation.
