I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and practice as a physician caring for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and hairy cell leukemia. My research focus is clinical and translational research in experimental therapeutics. My research group has an interest in finding optimal strategies for the use of BTK inhibitors including studying resistance, combination therapies, and treatment discontinuation. I am currently the principal investigator on 4 open and 2 pending clinical trials in this area including 2 investigator sponsored trials and a NCI study. My main laboratory research focus is BTK inhibitors for autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
