Lawrence Kirschner, MD, PhD, is a member of the Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics Program at the OSUCCC – James, where his research focuses on endocrine tumor genetics.

He is particularly interested in understanding how dysregulation of PKA contributes to tumorigenesis in cAMP-responsive tissues.

As part of The Ohio State University’s thyroid cancer group, he helped develop mouse models of benign and malignant follicular thyroid tumors that behave similarly to the human disease.

Dr. Kirschner has co-authored many articles in well-respected publications, including Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer, The Journal of Neuroscience and Science.
