MaryJo Welker, MD, is a member of the Cancer Control Program at the OSUCCC – James and chairs the Department of Family Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her research focuses on education, clinical practice and administration.

Most recently, she was the principal investigator (PI) on an HRSA grant to work on interprofessional education with the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, the College of Pharmacy, the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and the College of Social Work. In addition, she is the co-investigator on a nursing grant that was recently submitted to develop a residency program for advanced practices nurses in primary care.

Dr. Welker has co-authored numerous articles in well-respected publications, including the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine and Journal of Family Practice.
