As a member of the OSUCCC – James Cancer Control Program, Michael Pennell, MS, PhD, focuses his research on methodological issues in cancer studies.

His work explores the design and analysis of group randomized trials for cancer-screening interventions, survival analysis, joint modeling of cancer outcomes and dose-response assessment of carcinogens.

Dr. Pennell has co-authored more than 60 articles appearing in peer-reviewed publications, such as Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, Preventive Medicine Reports and BioMed Research International.

He has presented his research at multiple conferences, including regional gatherings of the International Biometric Society and International Chinese Statistical Association Applied Statistics Symposium
