Mira Katz, PhD, MPH, is a member of the Cancer Control Program at the OSUCCC – James, where her research focuses on communication issues associated with cancer prevention and control.

She is interested in how to improve the health of minority and underserved populations by providing information at the appropriate literacy level.

Her current research projects focus on improving colon cancer screening rates and developing HPV vaccine educational interventions.

Dr. Katz has co-authored many articles in well-respected publications, including Women & Health, American Journal of Public Health, International Journal of Gynecological Cancer and Journal of Community and Supportive Oncology.
