Leukemia Research

My primary research focus is translational research on myeloid malignancies. Current research projects include pre-clinical investigations of BET inhibitors in combination with other targeted therapies in pre-clinical models of acute myeloid leukemia and basic investigations into the role of BET proteins in leukemogenesis. This works relies heavily upon use of primary patient samples procured by the Leukemia Tissue Bank, both in in vitro assays and in patient derived xenografts. While I am not currently a PI on any clinical trials, I anticipate being a co-investigator on 1-2 early phase clinical trials in AML in the next year.
