Dr. Paul Stoodley is Director of the Microscopy Shared Resource and Professor in the Departments of Microbial Infection and Immunity and Orthopaedics. He has a broad background in the use of microscopy to study clinical specimens. His research focuses on bacterial biofilms in orthopedic and device related infections. He serves as a key opinion leader and consultant for a number of multi-national companies. He has published over 200 articles in clinical, engineering and microbiological journals and has given over 150 seminars to a variety of academic, industrial and healthcare audiences. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology.
