As a medical pancreatologist, Dr. Hart evaluates and manages patients with the spectrum of benign to malignant pancreatic disorders. Cancer-specific research interests include further understanding the relationship between new-onset diabetes mellitus and pancreatic cancer, as well as early detection, hereditary risk factors, and improving surgical outcomes related to pancreatic cancer. Additionally, he investigates different therapies to modify the inflammatory profile of chronic pancreatitis (a pre-malignant condition).
