Pierre Giglio, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Ohio State and a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James, where he focuses on developing neuro-oncology clinical trials centering on newly diagnosed and recurrent glioblastoma, the most lethal form of brain cancer.

Dr. Giglio is particularly interested in designing clinical trials that feature targeted therapies for the treatments of patients with these tumors. He is also exploring cancer that has metastasized (spread) to the central nervous system in hopes of developing therapies based on correlative molecular studies.

His work includes dozens of clinical research studies. Recently, he co-authored an article sharing the results from a phase II study of the drugs bevacizumab and erlotinib after radiation treatment and temozolomide in MGMT-unmethylated glioblastoma patients.

Dr. Giglio has published many articles in well-respected publications, including Tumor Biology, Journal of Neuro-Oncologyand Anticancer Research. In addition, he has presented his research to such organizations as the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
