My research interests are centered on the study of cancer survivorship health disparities and development of age- and culturally-sensitive interventions. My long-term goal is to build an independent program of research that identifies contextual factors of quality of life (QOL) among young (18-45) breast cancer survivors from underrepresented minority groups and translates findings to the development, implementation, and dissemination/translation of multi-level QOL interventions and policy changes. My work to date focuses on developing and testing a targeted QOL intervention among young African American breast cancer survivors. Future work will study relationships between the environment and QOL in large cohort studies.
