Dr. Orchard is an early-stage investigator interested in dietary interventions to reduce inflammation and lessen detrimental side effects of chemotherapy in breast cancer survivors. My research group is currently examining cognitive and neuroinflammatory outcomes of dietary treatment during chemotherapy using a mouse model. She is a co-investigator on one recently completed and one active clinical studies at OSU CCC: 1)Prevention of aromatase inhibitor induced joint symptoms with omega 3 fatty acid supplementation, and 2) Nutritional assessment in patients with breast cancer during chemotherapy.
