Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics

Yan Zhang, PhD, is a member of the Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics Program at the OSUCCC – James, where her research focuses on high-throughput genomic and proteomic data generated in cancer studies.

In particular, she is interested in integrating multiple data types to identify biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and prognosis, and to identify their impact on disease phenotypes and population propensity.

One of her recent collaborative research projects involved the creation of an integrated map of structural variation in 2,504 human genomes.

Dr. Zhang has co-authored numerous articles in well-respected publications, including Nature, Cancer Research and PLOS Computational Biology.
