College of Medicine - UC
Yi Zheng, PhD, is a member of the Leukemia Research Program at OSUCCC – James and is based in the Pediatrics Department at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine.
His research focuses on physiological and pathological roles of Rho GTPases and their regulators in hematopoiesis, neurogenesis and lung cancer development.
One of his recent studies established a unique screening platform for targeting Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factors enzymes (GEF) that could be used to identify lead inhibitors for small GTPase-activating GEF reactions.
Dr. Zheng has co-authored many articles in well-known publications, including Blood, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Nature Communications and Science.
