Wen Lab

About the Lab

The Wen Lab studies the immune function and inflammation in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). Recent studies have established that activated immune cells and cancer cells exhibit similar reprogramming process in glucose metabolism. The Web Lab investigates the function of a unique glucose metabolic enzyme, namely the O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT), in CRC development.  Biochemical, genetic and animal modeling strategies have been commonly used in the lab's studies to dissect the individual effect of OGT in the immune system versus tumor cells during CRC development.
