Director: Paul Reiter, PhD

The Behavioral Measurement Shared Resource (BMSR) assists investigators who wish to incorporate behavioral research into the broader research goals of the OSUCCC – James. By supporting cancer control, population science and clinical research, the BMSR helps investigators with integrating behavioral aims within any basic, clinical, or population science research; participant recruitment and accrual to ensure the inclusion of research participants broadly representative of the target population(s); and the collection and management of both quantitative and qualitative research data.

BMSR's Goals

The BMSR achieves its goal of helping investigators integrate behavioral research questions into their projects by providing expertise and offering services in five primary areas:

  1. Research design
  2. Behavioral assessment
  3. Participant recruitment and accrual
  4. Data collection
  5. Population-based data retrieval
