Experts at the OSUCCC – James are using AI to take new steps in cancer classification through digital pathology. Using digital images produced from glass slides, artificial intelligence powers accurate cancer identification through deep computer learning, enabling our experts to develop algorithms that help doctors counsel patients on prognosis and choose tailored treatments. While digital pathology has been in use for some time, it has grown in prevalence over the past decade, with The Ohio State University among the leading centers of innovative use of the technology.
