Advances in biopsy tech is helping doctors diagnose prostate cancer with less impact on patients. While doctors have long used image-guided biopsies to diagnose prostate cancer, recent advancements have allowed for the combination of technologies to improve the process. &ldquo;We can now use a combination of MRI and ultrasound to do what we call MRI fusion biopsy,&rdquo; the OSUCCC &ndash; James&rsquo; Ahmad Shabsigh, MD, says. &ldquo;The new technology helps us find cancer and adjust treatment according to the finding.&rdquo;
