Advances in biopsy tech is helping doctors diagnose prostate cancer with less impact on patients. While doctors have long used image-guided biopsies to diagnose prostate cancer, recent advancements have allowed for the combination of technologies to improve the process. “We can now use a combination of MRI and ultrasound to do what we call MRI fusion biopsy,” the OSUCCC – James’ Ahmad Shabsigh, MD, says. “The new technology helps us find cancer and adjust treatment according to the finding.”
