James Researchers Identify Certain Cancers with 'BRCA-like' Gene Mutations

Research experts at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute are studying how some gene mutations can mimic – and actually influence – other gene behaviors in some gynecologic cancers. Understanding how these “BRCA-like” tumors behave can be the key to providing specific targeted therapies to patients who have an inherited gene that could lead to cancer.
