Marina Beltrami Moreira, MD
Academic Title: Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine
I am a hematologist who specializes in preventing and treating blood-related complications associated with cancer and cancer therapies. My patients can expect a holistic approach, which I believe is fundamental for successful cancer care. Blood-related complications of cancer, such as abnormal blood clots and anemia, can cause significant pain and fatigue. In my role at the OSUCCC – James, I develop personalized treatments to mitigate the patient’s discomfort and improve their quality of life. I appreciate the collaborative environment here at The James and the opportunity to work alongside colleagues who are driven to innovate through research, which advances the care we can offer patients. My own research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and books, and I often present my work at national and international conferences. My role at The James also includes helping to train future cancer specialists. I am an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Hematology at The Ohio State University.
