Research Program

Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics

I have two cancer related research areas. In the first area, I use electronic medical record data sources and medical informatics approaches to investigate risk factors that predict either drug efficacy or adverse drug events. These risk factors include genomics and drug interactions.

In the second area, I use public domain cancer genomics and transcriptomics data and system biology and system pharmacology approaches, to investigate the cancer drug resistance and cancer metastasis mechanisms. In particularly, my lab research focuses on the target identification and drug response prediction.

Although my informatics methodology research are not necessary cancer specific, our current research investigate the following cancer types: breast, colon, liver, and lung.
