As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at OSUCCC – James, Selvendiran Karuppaiyah, PhD, focuses on ovarian and lung neoplasms, disease models and hepatocellular carcinoma.
He also researches reperfusion injury, myocardial infarction and hypertension.
One of his recent studies indicated a significant antitumor efficacy of 34.5ENVE, an oncolytic herpes simplex virus transcriptionally driven by a modified stem cell-specific nestin promoter, alone and combined with doxorubicin against disseminated peritoneal ovarian cancer.
Dr. Karuppaiyah has co-authored numerous articles in well-known publications, including Gynecologic Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research and Molecular Cancer Research.
