About Me
More info forAs a member of the Molecular Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention Program at the OSUCCC – James, the long-term goal of my lab is to investigate the function and mechanism of glucose and mitochondrial metabolism in the antitumor immunity during colorectal cancer (CRC) development.
Specifically, I investigate the function of two unique metabolic pathways: the O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT)-mediated glucose metabolism and mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU)-mediated mitochondrial metabolism. My lab team uses biochemical, genetic and animal modeling strategies to dissect the individual effect of OGT and MCU on immune cells versus tumor cells during CRC development. Due to its targetable nature, OGT may represent a promising therapeutic target for patients with CRC.
My work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Immunity, Nature Immunology and Journal of Clinical Investigation.
