This grief workshop will focus on basic information about the grief process, what to expect and typical grief experiences and reactions during the first year after a loved one’s death.
The mission of the garden is to introduce cancer survivors and caregivers to evidence-based nutritional information on the benefits of a plant-based diet. To participate in the Garden of Hope program, survivors and caregivers must register and attend orientation.

Open to individuals diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer (including colon, esophageal, pancreatic, stomach, intestinal, liver, gallbladder and rectal/anal) and their caregiver(s).

Survivors and caregivers will utilize a variety of art modalities to promote self-care around themes such as resilience, peace, mindfulness, finding joy, etc.
Cancer treatments and side effects can often impact a person’s sense of self and how they view and relate to their body, which can lead to additional distress and discomfort throughout one’s cancer journey.
